UMNO; Pembela Agama Vs Perosak Agama!

Saya tertarik tatkala membaca halaman pertama TheSun hari ini dengan tajuk yang amat menarik, Lay Off Our Religion. Ringkasnya, berita ini melaporkan perihal ucapan Najib sewaktu pembukaan Persidangan Perwakilan Pemuda, Wanita dan Puteri UMNO. Menariknya, Najib banyak bercakap tentang UMNO sebagai pejuang agama.

Berikut adalah sebahagian petikan ucapan Najib;

Fourth: Accelerating The Malay Mind by Protecting the Akidah

62. Lately we have been faced with various issues that have threatened the position of Islam. We have seen the rise in wrongful teachings, apostasy cases and we have seen groups protesting Constitutional provisions relating to Islam, namely Article 11 and Article 121(1A) of the Federal Constitution. All of these are assaults on the sanctity of Islam and attempts to shake the akidah of the ummah.

63. We wish to warn those irresponsible parties to immediately extinguish these flames of incitement which can destroy the harmony of races and religions. UMNO strongly opposes the formation of the so-called Interfaith Council which can threaten the harmony of this country. The question of religion is a sensitive issue and this must be understood by all. Therefore we must all be extremely cautious in dealing with such matters for the sake of unity. UMNO will not waver from its position as defenders of Islam in this country.

64. Indeed the role of the family is cricuial in protecting the Akidah. Every family member must have a deep understanding of Islam and must make it a part of their way of life. In an increasingly challenging environment, maintaining a harmonious family environment is not easy. Children are exposed to all sorts of things that must be carefully monitored. Parents must therefore also have good parenting skills apart from religious knowledge.

65. Children meanwhile, must be trained in terms of their mentality and character as early as possible. This is why we have established a special Council specifically to look into early childhood education to look into the education of children up to the age of six. All of us, especially Wanita and Puteri must take the initiative to support this initiative. Only through good education and a clear understanding of Islam can we foster a society that is based on the correct Akidah. Holding on to a strong Akidah and the correct teachings of Islam, the Muslims in this country can move forward towards attaining success and we will become the Model Muslim nation that is respected by all.

Sila hayati bahagian yang telah diboldkan. Ucapan Najib dilihat seolah memalit kembali kepada kelemahan kefahaman ISLAM dikalangan ahli UMNO sendiri. Najib tatkala itu sedang berucap dihadapan perwakilan Puteri dan Wanita UMNO yang jelas kelihatan dalam gambar di atas tidak memahami konsep AURAT dalam ISLAM. Malah, menyebut tentang keluarga ISLAM ataupun baitul Muslim, keluarga Najib sendiri gagal memahami ISLAM kerana isteri dan anak-anaknya tidak bertudung.

Saya tidak berniat untuk memalukan Najib ataupun sesiapa, cuma biarlah apabila kita tidak menjadi orang yang bercakap tak serupa bikin. Memanglah sekarang isu ISLAM menjadi isu yang diperhatikan ramai. Tapi tak perlulah seolah-olah menonjolkan UMNO Islamik sangat. Orang kata, a picture can speak a thousand words!

Gambar-gambar dalam akhbar sudah jelas menunjukkan betapa jahilnya UMNO terhadap ISLAM. Janganlah bercakap tentang ISLAM jika sendiri tak tahu apa yang terkandung dalam ISLAM. Tak begitu? Satu lagi yang tak kurang kontroversinya...

Buat pemimpin-pemimpin UMNO yang bakal berucap selepas ini, tolonglah jangan bercakap tentang ISLAM jika anda tak sendiri tak faham tentang ISLAM; jauh sekali untuk mengatakan UMNO pembela ISLAM! Rasanya lebih baik dikatakan UMNO perosak ISLAM...
